The Oral History Project was conceptualised with the intention to reach out to our illustrious alumni, who have made significant contributions to society, and to keep a record of their rich experience and learning beyond their time in NJC. Through a series of video interviews, the Project team aims to build a collection that will serve as inspiration for current NJC students, to encourage them to pursue their dreams.

In the first video of this series, our student interviewers had the opportunity to meet Ms Joyce Lye (class of 1970). As co-founder of eco-conscious charity, Kampung Senang, Ms Joyce Lye embodies the school values of leading with sensitivity. Giving up her 25-year career in banking to start Kampung Senang, Ms Joyce Lye is an example of commitment and dedication. Her resolve to serve the community is a great inspiration, encouraging us to remember our roots and give back to society.
